Get ready America, and ESPECIALLY New York. Hold on to your money….your messiah- Obama is about to clean you out.
New York tax filers reporting more than $375,000 a year in earned income may end up paying nearly 60% of their wages in taxes to the government under a Barack Obama presidency, economists who have analyzed his plan said.
The Democratic presidential candidate is proposing not only raising the federal income tax, but also adding a Social Security tax for those Americans earning more than $250,000 a year. For New Yorkers, that could mean that if the current Social Security rate is applied, the marginal tax rate, or rate on every extra dollar earned, could rise to 58%.
“This is a very eye-popping number,” a resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute, Alan Viard, said.
Gee…YA THINK?
Nothing like penalizing those Americans who are doing well. Level that playing field Obama…every chance you get. Take their money and give it to the government and everyone else making LESS. Spread that money around. Add those welfare programs and social programs.
Heck…let’s start with New York. We can change the name to New Nanny.

You gotta have faith. That is Obama’s obvious gambit as he campaigns across America. He’s up in Ohio, a critical swing state, announcing his plans to EXPAND Bush’s faith-based initiatives. If you’re like me…you stood up and shouted: HUH? (Yah…you better get the Q-tips.)
Democrat Barack Obama said yesterday that if elected president he would set aside more than $500 million a year in federal funds for religious organizations to help the disadvantaged, sharply expanding a Bush administration program that has strong support from evangelical Christians.
Obama is walking quite a highwire here. I can’t imagine flaming liberals putting up with this. They’ve been howling like a pack of hungry jackals at an All You Can Eat Buffet over Bush’s prior initiatives.
Political analysts said Obama’s proposal appeared to be part of an attempt to shift to the center and recruit moderate, evangelical Christians and mainstream Catholics, two voting blocs that consistently supported Bush and have embraced Republican candidates.
And rather blatant too…announcing this in a key swing state like Ohio. If you don’t think there’s a method to his madness, you’ve been smoking the arugula again. And if evangelical Christians fall for this ridiculous ploy, they’re as stupid as Al Gore at a Mensa party.

Leave it to Investor’s Business Daily to articulate what most conservatives have recognized early on. Barack Obama has been quietly gathering a veritable Rogue’s Gallery of supporters. Every dictator, thug, and despot on the planet….has lined up to endorse him. And let’s not forget- an infamous band of murdering psychopaths roaming the Middle East. (See Hamas.)
Real democracies don’t tell other nations’ citizens how to vote. But nations under one-man rule are another matter. Dictators’ preferences are all personal and usually frankly stated. And this year they’re all lining up behind Obama.
On Sunday, bloggers at One Free Korea noted that a North Korean mouthpiece, Chosun Sinbo, reported that dictator Kim Jong Il was adding his name to the list of those who support the Democratic standard-bearer.
Obama also has been endorsed by Libya’s Moammar Gadhafi. In a rambling speech last week, he advised Obama to “be proud of himself as a black and feel that all Africa is behind him.”
Gadhafi has kept Libya a backward petro-dictatorship since 1969 — when McCain was in the Hanoi Hilton.
Nicaragua President Daniel Ortega also chimed in praise for Obama as “laying the foundations for a revolutionary change” in America. Ortega shot his way to power in 1979, was thrown out in 1990, and recently returned to power in an election split three ways that has seen the dismantling of Nicaragua’s democracy.
Fidel Castro also has thrown his support to Obama, “the man who is doubtless, from the social and human points of view, the most progressive candidate to the U.S. presidency.” Why so many of the world’s most despicable tyrants find an Obama presidency attractive ought to be an issue in this campaign. Obviously, if Obama is projecting a leftist agenda and foreign policy naivete, he’s seen either as an ally or someone who can be rolled.
Yes…I know…there are no formal dots to connect here…so all of you liberals who are near apoplectic about this observation…take some nitroglycerin. But let’s be clear: this is no small feat. I mean….if it were me…I’d want to be their MORTAL ENEMY…universally hated by these sociopaths- not looked on as a buddy or a pal…or as their last best (uh…to use Obamassiah’s favorite noun) ….
HOPE.

Democrats and the Main Stream Media will tell you we are in a huge recession….some even comparing it to a DEPRESSION: unemployment is up…the housing debacle…gas prices…how terrible the economy is…and well life in general…is just…just dreadful. If ALL of that is true-then I sure find this to be quite the ANOMALY:
Americans donated $306 billion to charities in 2007, as U.S. philanthropic giving rose to a record level despite a downturn in the national economy, a survey being released today has found. Charitable giving increased 1 percent last year, when inflation is taken into account, and surpassed $300 billion for the first time, according to the Giving USA survey.
Heavens to Cancer Research…what’s going on here? The MSM hasn’t let us forget how frightening life is. What with the blight…and the floods….and the famine…the global warming…AND the economy? (Good God…it’s a wonder I can get out of bed.)
But experts said that the growth may be short-lived, as many charities reported concerns that rising gas prices and turmoil in the housing and credit markets could hamper their fundraising this year.
Well there you go. Ye had to go and rain on the charity parade didn’t you? Yah….let’s not get too cozy with any bit of good news…the MSM will make sure you remember that…afterall- the world is STILL coming to an end dammit!
Over 300 billion for the FIRST TIME. Ever. Think about that. Something’s not adding up here. Could it be that we aren’t in a recession?
And never have been.

Finally, I’m living in a state where they take the death penalty seriously, have a constitutional amendment supporting marriage, and know the meaning of the word “Conservative.” I’m back home. Many thanks to Craig for keeping this site going while I made the transition to a new job, a a new home, a new dog, and a new internet provider. As I’ve watched in horror the continuing foolishness of Osama Obama, a 5-4 decision granting rights to the very terrorists who murdered thousands on 9/11, and the apparent mad dash back to September 10th, 2001 by the Left, I’ve been unable to post as I’ve been doing over the past eight years.
Now, I’m back.
Just in time for the Fall campaign. While I disagree with so much of what John McCain says he believes, he beats the heck out of Obama. Obama’s positons on judges are enough to make me run for the polls to pull the lever for McCain in November. We’ll deal with McCain foolishness regarding “torture” and so-called “global warming” after the election.
McCain has shown a willingness to change his views as new facts assert themselves. Hopefully, as he comes to realize his “friends” on the Left will rip him apart this summer and Fall, he will be more open to some different views on other issues as well.

Impressive. Currently, I can sit around on my a** for 26 weeks and get paid for it. And the likelihood of buttock atrophy just keeps getting better and better: the Democrats want to add another 13 weeks.
House Democrats came so close to a veto-proof margin for their proposal to give the unemployed an extra three months of benefits.
Taking another shot on the same measure, the goal for Thursday was to pass it by just a majority, not the two-thirds it would take to overcome a presidential veto. The idea is to speed the bill to the White House. The legislation would extend the average $300-a-week benefit check by 13 weeks for all unemployed people who exhaust their regular 26 weeks of benefits.
That makes 39 weeks- almost 10 months. Heck…let’s just round it up to 1 year and be done with it. Next year, when you file your income tax returns, you could list your occupation as:
Couch Potato.

A first-term Senator is now the Democratic nominee for President of the United States. A pseudo-egalitarian who represents and embodies a true socialist agenda. A man who just happens to have the most liberal voting record in Congress. The liberal press loves him…ney- adores him- and ignored every warning sign along the way.
Democrats wanted ‘CHANGE’.
In less than a year, Barack Obama went from being an obscure, first-term U.S. senator to the projected Democratic presidential nominee.Standing before a crowd of thousands Tuesday in St. Paul, Minnesota, Obama declared himself the Democratic nominee.
“Tonight we mark the end of one historic journey with the beginning of another – a journey that will bring a new and better day to America,” he said. “This is our time. Our time to turn the page on the policies of the past,” he said.
Of course, if the ‘change’ and the ‘journey’ takes you to a purer form of socialism and communism…then change you shall have. Make no mistake, our society is on the brink of an ideological shift. And Barack Hussein Obama is the MAN.
To be clear…’our time’ refers specifically to all those delusional democrats who have supported him. It certainly isn’t MY time. Should Obama win in November, Americans will have their Nanny State- where everyone is a victim.
And as a result, not since Franklin Delano Roosevelt…not since the New Deal, will the United States government have more impact on your life.
And you want that?
America, you are out of your ever-loving minds.

Obama’s wonderful gaffe about Auschwitz….now has a happy ending. Yes. Apparently, good ol’ Uncle Charlie wasn’t at Auschwitz afterall….nah….he was at a SUBCAMP of Buchenwald. (A subcamp?)
Democrat Barack Obama admitted on Tuesday he was wrong to say his uncle helped liberate the Nazis’ Auschwitz concentration camp after Republicans said Soviet troops freed the camp. Obama’s campaign said the candidate meant to say that his great-uncle, Charlie Payne, had helped liberate a part of the Buchenwald camp, not Auschwitz.
“Yesterday he mistakenly referred to Auschwitz instead of Buchenwald in telling of his personal experience of a soldier in his family who served heroically,” said Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton. Burton said in the statement that Obama’s great uncle served in the 89th Infantry Division that entered Germany in 1945 and on April 4 overran Ohrdruf, a subcamp of the Buchenwald concentration camp.
Obama had made the Auschwitz reference in a Memorial Day speech on Monday. More than 1 million people, most of them Jews, were killed at Auschwitz, an extermination camp in Poland. Buchenwald in Germany was mainly a forced labor camp, where some 56,000 people are believed to have died.
“I had an uncle who was … part of the first American troops to go into Auschwitz and liberate the concentration camps,” Obama said.
Nice foot work Obama.
Of course, to have referenced Ohrdruf….a SUBCAMP….well…that just wouldn’t have the same Memorial Day speech impact now would it? Hmmm….doesn’t really resonate does it…doesn’t have the same ‘bona fides’…the same….‘curriculum vitae’..(and in my best faux french accent) um….Je ne sais quoi… the same ‘PEDIGREE’ does it?
“And the story in our family was is that when he came home, he just went up into the attic and he didn’t leave the house for six months,” he said.
The Dhali-bama has spoken. What a steaming pile of fecal oration.

It really is over. The Clinton campaign for the President of the United States is toast. Finished. Yes, Hillary Clinton and her quest for the Democratic nomination is done. As liberal multi-culturists love to say: Au Revoir, Ciao, Adios, Sayonara…Auf Wiedersehen!
Barack Obama erased Hillary Clinton’s once-imposing lead among superdelegates Saturday when he added more endorsements from the group of Democrats who will decide the party’s nomination for president.
Obama added superdelegates from Utah, Ohio and Arizona, as well as two from the Virgin Islands who previously had backed Clinton. The additions enabled Obama to surpass Clinton’s total for the first time in the campaign. He had picked up nine endorsements Friday.
So….unless those same Superdelegates start flip-flopping like a John Kerry on steroids, Obama lama ding dong is your Democratic nominee- and will oppose Juan McAmnesty in November.
And may the best man win- uh wait…..that’s not right- there is no best man- so may the best RINO who was once a war hero win! There….
That’s better.
