Marxism 101

Get ready America, and ESPECIALLY New York. Hold on to your money….your messiah- Obama is about to clean you out.

New York tax filers reporting more than $375,000 a year in earned income may end up paying nearly 60% of their wages in taxes to the government under a Barack Obama presidency, economists who have analyzed his plan said.

The Democratic presidential candidate is proposing not only raising the federal income tax, but also adding a Social Security tax for those Americans earning more than $250,000 a year. For New Yorkers, that could mean that if the current Social Security rate is applied, the marginal tax rate, or rate on every extra dollar earned, could rise to 58%.

This is a very eye-popping number,” a resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute, Alan Viard, said.

Gee…YA THINK?

Nothing like penalizing those Americans who are doing well. Level that playing field Obama…every chance you get. Take their money and give it to the government and everyone else making LESS. Spread that money around. Add those welfare programs and social programs.

Heck…let’s start with New York. We can change the name to New Nanny.

The Light Bulb Flickers…..ON

Posted by redsatellite on July 17, 2008

Europeans may be waking up to the mayhem born from radical Islam. FINALLY.

Europeans are increasingly lashing out at the construction of mosques in their cities as terrorism fears and continued immigration feed anti-Muslim sentiment across the continent.

The latest dispute is in Switzerland, which is planning a nationwide referendum to ban minarets on mosques. This month, Italy’s interior minister vowed to close a controversial mosque in Milan.

Some analysts call the mosque conflicts the manifestation of a growing fear that Muslims aren’t assimilating, don’t accept Western values and pose a threat to security. “It’s a visible symbol of anti-Muslim feelings in Europe,” says Danièle Joly, director of the Center for Research in Ethnic Relations at the University of Warwick in England. “It’s part of an Islamophobia. Europeans feel threatened.”

Liberal dolts like Ms Joly love to throw the word ‘Islamophobia’ into the discussion to automatically couch and frame their argument. As if to say: the peasant hordes are overreacting…how stupid and oafish!

Well guess what you pandering moral relativists- it’s a fear based on facts. And people are DAMN tired of the terrorism- you boorish sycophants.

Some moderate Muslims say those against building more mosques sometimes have legitimate concerns.

My God….someone give THEM a platform. That’s a refreshing voice in the wilderness!

Got Kidney Stones? And the Answer is….

Posted by redsatellite on July 15, 2008

Global Warming.

I told you YESTERDAY dammit, the answer would be global warming. But no…you didn’t believe me! You thought I was making it up. I warned you…that global warming would be the answer to every Jeopardy question in the future. But you weren’t listening.

More Americans are likely to suffer from kidney stones in the coming years as a result of global warming, according to researchers at the University of Texas. Kidney stones, which are formed from dissolved minerals in the urine and can be extremely painful, are often caused by dehydration, either by not drinking enough liquid or losing too much due to high heat conditions.

If global warming trends continue as projected by the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change in 2007, the United States can expect as much as a 30 percent growth in kidney stone disease in some of its driest areas, said the findings published in Monday’s Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

Impressive!

Every single day, the MSM reports on Global Warming. Yes every day: day in and day out. The media ASSAULT is non-stop. So from now on….whatever illness, malaise, or misfortune you may have- blame it on Global Warming.

Hmmm….I think I’ll call in sick today. Thanks Al!

The Answer is….Global Warming

Posted by redsatellite on July 14, 2008

One day, very soon, Jeopardy will no longer be on television. And not because Alex Trebek passed away- mind you- but because the answer to EVERY Jeopardy clue will be: What is Global Warming. You can’t have a game show where every answer is the same. Uh….no…I’m not kidding.

A top Democrat told high school students gathered at the U.S. Capitol Thursday that climate change caused Hurricane Katrina and the conflict in Darfur, which led to the “black hawk down” battle between U.S. troops and Somali rebels.

Rep. Edward Markey (D-Mass.), chairman of the House (Select) Energy Independence and Global Warming Committee, also equated the drive for global warming legislation with the drive for women’s suffrage in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Absolutely astounding.

I use to think these oddball remarks were hilarious. But I’ve tracked them so many times and posted such a litany of these that I’ve come to realize how unbelievably stupid- people with IMPORTANT jobs are! And just -how out of hand- all of this is becoming.

Wall Street Journal Warms to the Argument

Posted by redsatellite on July 3, 2008

I found an EXCELLENT Op-Ed in the Wall Street Journal. And its author did an outstanding job of bringing clarity to the Global Warming Hoax.

The real place where discussions of global warming belong is in the realm of belief, and particularly the motives for belief. I see three mutually compatible explanations.

The first is as a vehicle of ideological convenience. Socialism may have failed as an economic theory, but global warming alarmism, with its dire warnings about the consequences of industry and consumerism, is equally a rebuke to capitalism. Take just about any other discredited leftist nostrum of yore – population control, higher taxes, a vast new regulatory regime, global economic redistribution, an enhanced role for the United Nations – and global warming provides a justification. One wonders what the left would make of a scientific “consensus” warning that some looming environmental crisis could only be averted if every college-educated woman bore six children: Thumbs to “patriarchal” science; curtains to the species.

A second explanation is theological. Surely it is no accident that the principal catastrophe predicted by global warming alarmists is diluvian in nature. Surely it is not a coincidence that modern-day environmentalists are awfully biblical in their critique of the depredations of modern society: “And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.” That’s Genesis, but it sounds like Jim Hansen. And surely it is in keeping with this essentially religious outlook that the “solutions” chiefly offered to global warming involve radical changes to personal behavior, all of them with an ascetic, virtue-centric bent: drive less, buy less, walk lightly upon the earth and so on. A light carbon footprint has become the 21st-century equivalent of sexual abstinence.

Is that rich or what? That was a cackle!

Finally, there is a psychological explanation. Listen carefully to the global warming alarmists, and the main theme that emerges is that what the developed world needs is a large dose of penance. What’s remarkable is the extent to which penance sells among a mostly secular audience. What is there to be penitent about?

To Play the Game, You Gotta Have Faith

Posted by redsatellite on July 2, 2008

You gotta have faith. That is Obama’s obvious gambit as he campaigns across America. He’s up in Ohio, a critical swing state, announcing his plans to EXPAND Bush’s faith-based initiatives. If you’re like me…you stood up and shouted: HUH? (Yahyou better get the Q-tips.)

Democrat Barack Obama said yesterday that if elected president he would set aside more than $500 million a year in federal funds for religious organizations to help the disadvantaged, sharply expanding a Bush administration program that has strong support from evangelical Christians.

Obama is walking quite a highwire here. I can’t imagine flaming liberals putting up with this. They’ve been howling like a pack of hungry jackals at an All You Can Eat Buffet over Bush’s prior initiatives.

Political analysts said Obama’s proposal appeared to be part of an attempt to shift to the center and recruit moderate, evangelical Christians and mainstream Catholics, two voting blocs that consistently supported Bush and have embraced Republican candidates.

And rather blatant too…announcing this in a key swing state like Ohio. If you don’t think there’s a method to his madness, you’ve been smoking the arugula again. And if evangelical Christians fall for this ridiculous ploy, they’re as stupid as Al Gore at a Mensa party.

Providing Sanctuary to Drug Dealers

Posted by redsatellite on July 1, 2008

No…I’m NOT kidding. That’s how pathetic San Francisco has become. Reason #4,589…why I left California. Moral equivalency run amok.

An effort by San Francisco to shield eight young Honduran crack dealers from federal immigration officials backfired when the youths escaped from Southern California group homes within days of their arrival, officials said Monday.

The walkaways are the latest in a string of embarrassments for city officials who are protecting illegal-immigrant drug dealers from federal authorities and possible deportation because of San Francisco’s 1989 declaration that the city is a sanctuary for undocumented immigrants.

Yes…you read that correctly. Keeping crack dealers who are ILLEGAL aliens in the United States is more important than deporting them. How twisted is that?

When federal law enforcement authorities demanded that San Francisco halt the flights and began a criminal investigation, the city decided to house some of the dealers in long-term youth rehabilitation centers. Some of those centers are run by a nonprofitcompany called Silverlake Youth Services in mountain towns southeast of San Bernardino.

Eight Honduran juveniles who had been convicted of dealing drugs in San Francisco were sent within the past few weeks to the company’s group homes, where one month’s placement costs $7,000 per youth - an expense borne by San Francisco taxpayers.

Um….I’m speechless.

The Endorsements Keep Rolling In

Posted by redsatellite on June 25, 2008

Leave it to Investor’s Business Daily to articulate what most conservatives have recognized early on. Barack Obama has been quietly gathering a veritable Rogue’s Gallery of supporters. Every dictator, thug, and despot on the planet….has lined up to endorse him. And let’s not forget- an infamous band of murdering psychopaths roaming the Middle East. (See Hamas.)

Real democracies don’t tell other nations’ citizens how to vote. But nations under one-man rule are another matter. Dictators’ preferences are all personal and usually frankly stated. And this year they’re all lining up behind Obama.

On Sunday, bloggers at One Free Korea noted that a North Korean mouthpiece, Chosun Sinbo, reported that dictator Kim Jong Il was adding his name to the list of those who support the Democratic standard-bearer.

Obama also has been endorsed by Libya’s Moammar Gadhafi. In a rambling speech last week, he advised Obama to “be proud of himself as a black and feel that all Africa is behind him.”
Gadhafi has kept Libya a backward petro-dictatorship since 1969 — when McCain was in the Hanoi Hilton.

Nicaragua President Daniel Ortega also chimed in praise for Obama as “laying the foundations for a revolutionary change” in America. Ortega shot his way to power in 1979, was thrown out in 1990, and recently returned to power in an election split three ways that has seen the dismantling of Nicaragua’s democracy.

Fidel Castro also has thrown his support to Obama, “the man who is doubtless, from the social and human points of view, the most progressive candidate to the U.S. presidency.” Why so many of the world’s most despicable tyrants find an Obama presidency attractive ought to be an issue in this campaign. Obviously, if Obama is projecting a leftist agenda and foreign policy naivete, he’s seen either as an ally or someone who can be rolled.

Yes…I know…there are no formal dots to connect here…so all of you liberals who are near apoplectic about this observation…take some nitroglycerin. But let’s be clear: this is no small feat. I mean….if it were me…I’d want to be their MORTAL ENEMY…universally hated by these sociopaths- not looked on as a buddy or a pal…or as their last best (uh…to use Obamassiah’s favorite noun) ….

HOPE.

A False Seal…

Posted by Mark on June 23, 2008

…for a false candidate. But what can we expect from Fast Eddie Obama?

The scariest thing about the Seal for the Department of Obama is the center hole. Makes me think of two things:

First, the creature coming out of people’s stomach in Alien

Second, the seal of the Anti-Christ in the Left Behind series.

Both are really creepy…but then, so is Osama Obama.

Victim Mentality: Republicans Join the Hood

Posted by redsatellite on June 20, 2008

The Republican Party has jumped the shark. Seriously. Gone are the days of personal responsibility. Gone. Our society….our government….someone in charge of my taxes… will bail you out.

A broad bipartisan coalition supporting a massive foreclosure rescue beat back GOP efforts to gut it Thursday, defying a White House veto threat and quashing a bid to make it victim to revelations about two senators’ VIP mortgages.

Democrats and many Republicans consider the measure a political imperative amid rising foreclosures and growing public anxiety about the sagging economy. The measure is designed to help hundreds of thousands of borrowers in danger of losing their homes, but it also would benefit mortgage holders by allowing them to avoid costly foreclosures and reclaim some of what they’re owed by people facing financial ruin.

Yep…both the lender and the borrower were victims…now both get money. All is forgiven… NOBODY is at fault. Republicans are complicit and have trash-canned the very tenets that defined their party.

Reprehensible.
